Binance spot VIP status is mainly assessed from 30 day trading volume and BNB holdings. The standard spot fee starts at 0.1000% maker and 0.1000% taker for a regular account, while discounted BNB payment can reduce that starting rate to 0.07500% and 0.07500%.

VIP 4 requires 75,000,000 USD and 500 BNB, with 0.0400% maker and 0.0520% taker. VIP 5 requires 150,000,000 USD and 1,000 BNB, with 0.0250% maker and 0.0310% taker. The BNB discounted examples shown by Binance are 0.03000% and 0.03900% at VIP 4, then 0.01875% and 0.02325% at VIP 5.

These two tiers are often discussed by higher volume desks and sophisticated retail traders because the difference between passive and aggressive execution starts to have a visible monthly impact.
